We’re going through our mailbag to answer some of the more frequently asked questions.  Today, we look at question #9.

Q. The SEO Bible seems to be geared toward the beginner more so than the experienced optimizer.  Is there anything in the book for the advanced level search marketer?

A. Yes, the SEO Bible is geared a little more to the beginning SEO student.  However, there are some sections that will appeal to more advanced level search marketers such as our section on free tools, videos outlining how you can leverage keyword research to carve out a niche, and another video that demonstrates how someone can write multiple articles in less than two hours.  In other words, there is a little something for everyone regardless of where you are in your SEO educational development process. 

Furthermore, I (Roger) shared the SEO Bible with a REALTOR friend of mine that has little understanding of websites other than how to search and surf them, and her comment was “wow, the book is very thorough, and I’ll have to re-read some sections for things to really sink in.”  That tells me that it has something for everyone because she said she followed some of the steps that made “no sense” to her although “they worked. “

Q. How long after you started did you feel like you had a good enough grasp of SEO to make money at it?

A. For me (Roger), it took about three months of tunnel visioned (some would say “obsessed”) learning until it even dawned on me that SEO could provide a little revenue for the consulting firm. SEO was a means to an end as increasing awareness for the business was the key objective when this all began. It wasn’t like I started out thinking “learn this so you can generate revenue for the firm.” It just sort of happened.
